The FR Marching Band will be the third band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! We will be right behind the Abby Cadabby balloon (Sesame Street) and just before the Hamburger Helper float featuring Jay Sean. We should be performing in front of Macy’s around 10:15.

Macy’s Stamps
The post office has issued a commemorative stamp in honor of the Macy’s Parade for Thanksgiving. It has nothing to do with FRHS Band, but it sure is perfectly coincidental and timely. The stamp set is really great, depicting various aspects of the traditional parade. Here is the link to buy them from the USPS.

Thanksgiving Dinner
Scholastica Travel is no longer able to accept reservations for the Thanksgiving Dinner with the kids at their hotel. Reservations were limited to 500, and we have reached capacity! Thanks for all your support!

Macy’s Parent Trip Final Payment Due 9/15/2009
The letters for the final deposit due on September 15, 2009 for the Macy's Parent Trip have been e-mailed or snail-mailed. If you have not received them by Thursday, September 9, 2009, please contact Chris Anderson at ccanderson_1@comcast.net.
Please make sure you indicate on your payment stub if you want a temporary parking permit. This will allow you to park in the school complex during the trip. If your student has a parking permit, please use your student's permit in order that a temporary parking permit is available to another family traveling on the Parent Trip.

Silk Gloves

Thanksgiving Dinner
If you are planning on joining your child(ren) for Thanksgiving Dinner 2009 at their hotel in New Jersey, but are not travelling with the Macy's Parent Trip, please call Tammy Reichert at Scholastica Travel (724) 837-4600 Extension 104 to make reservations and payment. The cost of the dinner is $32 per person. The price is the same for adults and children.

The FR Band Boosters (FRBB) are selling Macy’s Day Parade commemorative throw blankets and Franklin Regional Panther throw blankets. Each blanket is selling for $25 and will be sold before and after the spring concerts (April 2nd & April 7th) and at the spring general meeting on April 6th. Limited quantities available!
